The MSU Men's Club Volleyball D team officially is the worst out of 60 teams from all over the country. We lost every set that we played.
Playing on a team is one of the hardest things i have ever done. I am amazed at the extreme challenges it creates. Not only do i have to constantly worry about myself and what and how I am doing, but i have to make sure everyone else knows what they are doing. I frequently find myself struggling to trust people, and in a sport like volleyball where one team is confined to more space than any other sport and you must work together this proves to be a bad thing. So much trust is involved with this sport. People on my team suck, so how can i trust that they will do well? I think that I am one of the best players on my team, and i know that its because i am one of the hardest working players on my team. We organize extra practices all the time and i have gone to every one, but only 5 or 6 people ever show up. Everyone gets angry when we lose, and i dont think that they realize that rewards come to those who work for them. I have a feeling it is because 10 of the 13 of us are freshman, and they just dont understand hard work.
I want to be awesome at volleyball, and I'm getting there. slowly. Its really hard to get better when the people you depend on suck.
Plus, our team name is "Posse". We are MSU Posse. I hate it.
We have another small tournament on December 6th that we are hosting, and i really hope that we finally win a set. we are 0-10.
I mean, i really dont care about winning becuase im having so much fun, but it might be nice to feel like what i am doing is worth the work.
